There are seven labor relations acts in Vermont, a large number of statutes for such a small state. Vermont has more labor relations statutes per capita than any other state in the country. The seven acts are: 1) State Employees Labor Relations Act, 2) Labor Relations for Teachers Act, 3) State Labor Relations Act, 4) Municipal Employee Relations Act, 5) Judiciary Employees Labor Relations Act, 6) Independent Direct Support Providers Labor Relations Act, and 7) Early Care and Education Providers Labor Relations Act. The historical development of each of these statutes will be discussed in this section.
For the content of the statutes themselves, see the "Statutes" section on the left hand navigation bar.
