Statute History

There are seven labor relations acts in Vermont, a large number of statutes for such a small state. Vermont has more labor relations statutes per capita than any other state in the country. The seven acts are: 1) State Employees Labor Relations Act , 2) Labor Relations for Teachers Act , 3) State Labor Relations Act ; 4) Municipal Employee Relations Act , 5) Judiciary Employees Labor Relations Act , 6) Independent Direct Support Providers Labor Relations Act ,  and 7) Early Care and Education Providers Labor Relations Act . The historical development of each of these statutes will be discussed in this section.
